I recently got an old S3200/S3210 Board and it behaves kind of strange. Sometimes on start it beeps one time, then 2 times, also sometimes 3 times. Manual is just saying if it beeps 3 times, then memory error. What about the other beeps?

Intel Server P4208CP4MHGC S2600CP4 WHEA Error 47
I have an Intel P4208CP4MHGC with S2600CP4 motherboard, Intel Xeon E5-2620V2, and the latest bios/firmware package from Intel 9/20/13.
OS: Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter
BIOS : 02.01.0002
ME : 02.01.07.231
BMC : 1.19.r5018
FRUSDR : 1.10
For some reason this server is throwing a whole ton of WHEA Logger Errors from Server Manager in the Events Section of the dashboard. Around 2000 of these warnings are generated at intervals of every 10 minutes.
The ID is: 47 Severity: Warning Log: System
A corrected hardware error has occurred.
Component: Memory
Error Source: Corrected Machine Check
I've read about this issue on other manufacturers platforms and it seems bios updates generally fix the problem.
I've run Memtest86 overnight, with no errors generated, so I do not believe the issue is in RAM, but I could be wrong.
RSTe vs ESRT2 [CentOS 6]
Hi,
I have Server Board S2600GL with RAID C600 chipset and Upgrade Key: RKSATA8R5 (Intel RSTe or Intel ESRT2 8 ports SATA RAID 0, 1, 10, 5).
Installed SATA hard drives (8 pieces) with RAID 5.
Historically, this situation are :
Installed CentOS 6.5 (64-bit) _without_ special Intel RAID drivers.
In BIOS menu "Mass Storage Configuration" set:
AHCI Capable SATA controller = Disabled
SAS/SATA Capable controller = INTEL RSTe
All worked fine since summer 2013.
Details in attached file.
After a failure of one hard drive (everything is fine now) I found this information:
http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-033209.htm
This applies to: Intel® Server Board S2600GL
"Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3* with KVM (32-bit & 64-bit) only supported in AHCI or ESRT2 mode"
My questions are:
1. whether it is necessary immediately migrate whole server to another location and reconfigure the current Intel RSTe controller mode to ESRT2 mode (and migrate server back) ?
2. Where to find the Intel ESRT2 drivers for CentOS 6.5 (64-bit) ?
3. If I do not switch to ESRT2 mode and the driver is not installed (ie leave it as is), what awaits me in the future?
Disk Write Cache on board RAID ESRT II
I have seen demo videos on how to configure ESRT II, is There anyone knows and explain more about DWC write cache, if they would set ON or OFF on onboard RAID support, like for instance on intel server board s1200bts has an onboard RAID, do they need to turn ON the DWC in ESRT II even though they don't have a battey backup unit a.k.a BBU? what happen when power failure comes? what if i set to turn off The DWC? what will happen to the performance on the disk drive? which one would i rather prefer for the server s1200bts the ESRT II or the RST?
Please anyone could help on this technology, appreciated much on your comment and answer...Thank you!
S2600CP and VMWare 5.5
Hey all,
I'm trying to install ESXi 5.5 on my S2600CP and having some issues. I'm installing from an UEFI-enabled USB drive and when it gets to the point where it says "Initializing ACPI" it hangs there for about two minutes, then resets. The board is on VMWare's HCL list, so in theory it's supposed to work. I've seen forums were people suggest increasing the amount of video ram, but I added a PCI-E video card with no luck. I'm assuming I'm missing a BIOS optoin somewhere, but have no idea which one.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance

R1304RPMSHOR fans perpetually at 100%?
We just bought a R1304RPMSHOR and for some reason the fans are at full speed at all times.
I have upgraded the BIOS to R01.04.0002, which did not help.
I have adjusted bios settings to acoustic and set altitude for <300m
I have checked Server Products — System fan runs too fast or too loud and haven't gotten any results. Although i am unsure if I did the last one correctly.
Please help, the machine is so loud that we are disturbed by it, in spite of being behind a closed door.
Any help would be much appreciated.
S2600-CP2 vmware ESXi 5.5 hangs on ACPI initialization -- Boot loop
Hi all,
I recently upgraded the firmware of a working S2600CP2 server running VMWare ESXi 5.5 build 1474528 and VMWare now gets stuck on the initialization of ACPI. After about a minute or two of being stuck on the initialization of ACPI, the server reboots as if the reset button was pushed on the front of the server, basically resulting in a boot-loop.

Server S3420GP and Windows 2012
Hello,
I have a Intel Server S3420GP with an Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X3430 @ 2.40GHz processor, we are currently running Windows Server 2003 SP2, but are need to upgrade as support for Server 2003 will stop next year. Can you tell me if it is possible to install Windows Server 2012 Essentials on this machine, and the Intel Deployment Assistant only seems to support Server 2008, and I'm not sure that the latest edition of the Intel Deployment Assistant supports this server. .
Yours - Antony Horner

MFSYS25 - MFS5520VIR - Action 'Power On' failure on 'Server 4'
We inserted a new compute module into the Intel Modular Server today and when we attempted to power on the compute module, we received an insufficient power error. The IMS refuses to power on the compute module.
We have reviewed the configuration and believe it to be valid for this system.
IMS Current Firmware Build Version: 6.7.100.20110329.28522
We have three power supplies inserted into the IMS and all power supplies are fully functional. There are four compute module in total inserted into the IMS. Documentation indicates that three power supplies inserted into the IMS will support all six compute modules and all other modules.
What are we doing wrong?
Thanks,
Nate

Firmware Bios vs. Operating System
Hi!
can i get help from someone? are firmware in bios different from operating system like for instance windows software?
How about if i was reformatted a new hard drive which has an operating system of windows server 2008 and use the intel server s1200bts that works with ESRT 2 and RST in bios mass storage controller, now to a new server that was reformat when i set bios to mass storage controller and set to RAID and press F10 after rebooting and back to bios but first i disable quiet boot, after all it came back again to AHCI and I cannot create A raid for ESRT 2 on mass controller storage, do i think i erase the driver for RAID when i reformat it to a new O.S? or the driver for RAID ESRT 2 & RST matrix are still there in the firmware? i have don't have an idea whatsgoing on and cannot create RAID...I'm badly needed to configure my RAID for 4 DRIVES for RAID 10 array..since we have large file to run an application and need a RAID to perform large reading and Writiing....
anyone could help me so that i can turn it on to work the ESRT 2 & RST onboard RAID controller on BIOS.
appreciated much for your attention to this matter. I'm very thankful if some could help to this technical issue..
thank you again.

S1200V3RPM / XEON E3 1265L V3 audio over displayport problem
Hi all,
I have an Intel S1200V3RPM server board, XEON E3 1275V3 processor (P4600 graphics), which I use as an audio and video streamer.
The only drivers I have been able to install are the 10.18.10.3316 from windows update. All other drivers from the Intel download center (.3316 and .3345) fail to install.
The problem I experience is that I do not have any audio on the HDMI input of my AV receiver. I connect my board via DisplayPort cable -> HP BB937AA adapter -> HDMI cable-> Onkyo PR-SC5507 AV receiver. My PC cannot see the Onkyo as an audio device. Video gets transferred fine.
The HP Displayport - HDMI adapter works fine connecting an HP Elitebook 8570w to the Onkyo, miltichannel HD sound and all.
Thanks for any help, as the video part of my streamer is unusable like this.

Difference between a Mod Server Compute Module MFS5000SIB andMFS5000SI
Is there a difference between these 2 different part numbers?
Or is the MFS5000SIB just a 3-pack version of the same unit?
Thanks!

S5000PSLAS Motherboard Pin-out
I have had to transplant this motherboard in to a new non-Intel chassis and need the pin-out information for the re-set, power, HDD activity light etc on the motherboard as the existing chassis/board uses an integrated connector whereas the new chassis had individual connectors. Any help much appreciated.
W2600CR2 memory installation order
I've just purchased a W2600CR2 board w/2x2630v2 procs. I also got 4xKingston 16Gig memory sticks, but I can't tell from the documentation what slots to plug the sticks into. Is it A1,A2, E1,E2 or A1,B1,E1,F1, or something else?
Server board S2600CP2 1-5-1-2 beep code
I just bought brand new Intel server board S2600CP2, installed with 128 (16*8G DDR4-1600) RAM, 2 X E5-2620 processor, attached all power cable (server board, 2 CPUs), with 1000W PSU, but when I try to first time power on the server, i receive 1-5-1-2 beep code, the system can't start, nothing showing on screen (actually no signal output).
I checked manual, 1-5-1-2 beep code means: VR Watchdog Timer sensor assertion.
Anyone has any idea?
Maybe I should go MicroCenter exchange one but they only has one left.
Thanks,
