MS WDS PXE bootup - could not recognize X260 NIC driver

HI,

I'm trying to boot-up - load Lenovo X260 machine from MS WDS PXE server, without success

we've got this X260 machines and having issue to load them, (Just got this model -X260..)

all previous models; X250,X240.. are booting all right .


I've loaded & injected all packages from Lenovo site to the WDS;

-SCCM Package for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad X260;

And from Intel site; Network Adapter Driver for Windows 7-

But I'm still getting an error from the WDS;

"WdsClient: An error occurred while starting networking: a matching network card driver was not found in this image"

Can you advise ?

One compute module in my H2216XXJR chassis won't turn on. What should I check ?

Hi Forum,

 

I have a H2216XXJR chassis with redundant power supply.

Also I have installed 4 compute modules inside this chassis.

 

Three of the compute modules turn on just fine. But the 4th wont turn on.

I have tested installing the compute module that wont turn on in another slot and it works just fine.

 

Something tells me that it might be a problem on the push botton on the front panel or some intermediate board between the button and the power module.

 

What should I check to find the problem?

there ssr212ma after replenishing space on the volume they have become not available

going to the administration panel increases the available memory but still toms are not available

error is: storage server not ready: no formatted device available, volume not available restripe pending because of length of hard threshold

disk usage 86% free 13%

Intel Remote Management Module 3 [RMM] [RMM3] - Setting up external (remote) access problem

Hello!

 

I recently installed a RMM3 module into a Lenovo ThinkServer. It has been great and I'm really liking the RMM3. That being said, for some reason the 'remote control' feature only works on the internal network... I've tried endlessly for days to figure out how to access it remotely. The https webpage can be accessed fine remotely however.

 

I've port forwarded external 444 to internal 443, as well as external ports 7582, 5124, 5127, 7578, 5120, 5123 to their respective internal ports on the RMM3.

 

The Java file will download and will "launch", and I've changed the Java security settings to include the IP address and all the ports above as "trusted sites" so it can run (I did the same procedure internally and it worked fine.) However, when Java loads and gets to the "Do you want to run this application", clicking run just closes everything.

 

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much in advance!

Can someone help me diagnose what this error is referring to on my server?  This is a relatively new server:

Under System, Dashboard, Misc, I get the following error:

  • Intel®Active System Console error: SmaRT-CLST Stat reports it has been asserted, Assertion Event. - transition to critical from less severe from PSU sensor 0x66

Can't run BIOS recovery on s2600cp2

I updated the BIOS on the s2600cp2 board from version 01.02.0003 to 02.06.0002. Its a pretty big jump but the notes said it was compatible. Now the system stays on the first screen that displays "Intel Corp... BIOS version... ect." I've left it running for as long as 30 minutes, nothing happens. I want to try to go back to 01.02.0003, which I can still download from the website but there aren't any recovery files. So instead I tried to do a BIOS recovery to any of the versions that give the BIOS recovery files for, which go back to version 02.02.0002. I moved the recovery jumper to pin 2 and 3 with the machine unplugged, plugged in the USB with the recovery files, and started it up. Most I got was the system LED blinking amber and no other error leds, which the screen just displaying the same first screen, two beeps and USB gets power then the USB light shuts off then screen goes black for a brief moment then repeats this loop. Left it going for 10 minutes and still nothing. I believe the EFI Shell should load, but I don't even get an option to get there. I tried hitting F2 and F6 to see if maybe that would work, nope.  Is there another way I can go about this?

r2208gz4gc - Xeon Phi 31S1P compatibility?

Hi,

 

I have some r2208gz4gc servers and some 31S1P's and I was wondering about putting them together. The Phi looks like it needs a 6-pin and 8-pin power connector. I don't readily see how I can connect these to the server. I read online about someone who had done this so I'm hopeful but wanted to ask others who know more about these servers. So, is this possible? If so, what is the procedure?

S2600CP2 AMI BIOS Update failure

I have hard trouble.

 

My Mobo is s2600cp2 and bios is 2.15.1227

AMI Aptio setup utility 4.6.4.1  OABVH 0.17 x64 .   03/14/2013

 

future use version    s2600cp.17.09

mrc ver.                   1.0.018

 

on serverboard Bios label = S6C  CS:7976    R01.03.0002

 

I tryed bios update 01.03.002 to  the later version, but i failed.   Rerurn message is ' a file in the update package is incompatible with the target'

 

I think that i will must try to update by later version of ami bios.

 

In my system bios, NIC configuration menu is not present, so my server LAN port's have unabled until now.

 

Intel S2600CP2 server board is very bad things, seriously bad things , and it's a big trouble maker.

intel s2600jf power up

!

i bought s2600jf motherboard and 2x e5 2670 cpu

 

I was in plan to build small custom dual socket PC

 

 

i read motheboard manual carefully and I saw 2x 6pin power connector with only 12V

 

 

I make proper plugs with normal PSU (700W) also i power up PSU by short green and black cable so i get 12V out)

 

but motherboard not boot, i dont see any led blinking/ cpus are cold
is there power button maybe somewhere ? i thought when motheboard gets 12V will power up automatically but not luck

I have a RAID 6 array with 10 2TB SATA HDDs attach to RES2CV240(ph13 F/W).

And I use Hard Disk Sentinel to monitor HDDs' SMART status.

 

When HD Sentinel start or refresh status (default 5 minutes), the MegaRAID Storage Manager shows several warnings and informations, like:

When it happed, the read and writh speed of the array drop to ~10MB/s, as normal is ~500MB/s.

Both LSI MegaRAID 9260-8i and LSI Nytro MegaRAID 8110-4i have the same situation.


Is there any solution?

Or just the RES2CV240 can not handle a SATA PIO command?

Would a standard ATX PSU work with a W2600CR2 mobo?

Hello all, for the past month I've been trying to get a new workstation build going but nothing seems to work. The LED diagnostics doesn't say much either and I've tried replacing most parts but it just goes to blinking amber and then solid amber with only the LSB lit. No video output whatsoever so I'm working blind here.

 

I assume the PSU is the problem but Intels support couldn't say much, but can you guys see anything obviously wrong? Here's the speccs:

Intel Workstation Board W2600CR2 (PBA: G59236-301)

Dual E5-2660v2

4x 4Gb Registered ECC PC3-10600

Corsair AX1200 PSU (No PMBus)

 

As a sidenote, the PDF over the board mentions an internal VGA connection-slot. I did buy the parts separately so does anyone know if you can buy an adapter to normal VGA somewhere? I assume it might have some basic information even if VGA via a PCIe card doesn't show anything. Yes, I'm trying everything I can think of.
