I'm planning to build an entry-level file server with S1200SPS or S1200SPL board and KVM over network. Some specifications are not clear to me.
(1)
Both AXXRMM4LITE2 and AXXRMM4LITE modules are listed in "Intel Server Board S1200SP Intel Server System R1000SPO Intel Server Chassis P4304XXSHCN/ P4304XXSFCN/ P4000XXSFDR Product Family Configuration Guide", page 31 (http://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/server-products/S1200SP_P4000S_R1000SPO_Family_Config_Guide_1_3.pdf)
Does that mean, these RMM4 modules are interchangeable?
(2)
"Intel Server Board S1200SP Family Technical Product Specification", page 71, states: "The S1200SPS board does not support Intel RMM4" (http://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/server-products/S1200SP_TPS_R1_2_AllSKU.pdf)
Despite this, "Remote Management Module 4 Lite 2 AXXRMM4LITE2" is present in the list of compatible products "Spares and Accessories", document "Intel Server Board S1200SPS" (http://ark.intel.com/products/88272/Intel-Server-Board-S1200SPS#@compatibility)
and vice versa, "Intel Server Board S1200SPS" is stated to be compatible with "Remote Management Module 4 Lite 2 AXXRMM4LITE2" (http://ark.intel.com/products/91525/Remote-Management-Module-4-Lite-2-AXXRMM4LITE2#@compatibility)
So is or is not S1200SPS compatible with AXXRMM4LITE2 and AXXRMM4LITE?
If not, then KVM over network can not be used with S1200SPS at all?
