Hi and wish you all a very healthy, happy and prosperous new year.
We've supplied Cottonwood pass [S2600CW2] (Intel® Server Board S2600CW2 Specifications) server board with Intel P4304XXMFEN2 (Intel® Server Chassis P4304XXMFEN2 Specifications) enclosure to our customer along with Nvidia Quadro K420 (Quadro GPUs for Desktop and Mac Pro Workstations|NVIDIA) graphic adapter. The processor used is single Intel Xeon E5-1620 v3 (Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-1620 v3 (10M Cache, 3.50 GHz) Specifications).
Though we get the display from the onboard VGA port, we do not get any video from the Nvidia adapter. We've tested the card on S2400SC2 board (Intel® Server Board S2400SC2 Specifications) and is working fine. We've populated the card on the PCI-e x16 slot associated with CPU1 slot.
The BIOS is updated to the latest and it shows:
Add-in Video Adapter: <Disabled> (greyed out)
Onboard Video: <Enabled> (greyed out)
Legacy VGA socket: <CPU socket 1> (greyed out)
The graphic adapter heat sink fan is also not rotating when connected and the server is powered. The OS is Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit and it does not come-up in the device manager as well, even as an un-recognised device. We even tried with Nvidia GeForce 210 adapter, and the result is same.
Please provide the next set of action as a resolution to this.
Thanks and regards
Girish Nair
