BMC didn't working

I'm getting a "Caution Memory conflict detected. You may face boot problem." Using RS25AB080 with BIOS 5.50.03.0

Everything was fine when I set up my server back in December 2016 and after a crash I received the message above while Posting.

Of course if I remove the RAID controller, the message goes away.

I have updated to the latest firmware and even tried to downgrade it to see if any differences was noted in vain.

I'm thinking the RAID controller is bad or something however I have no issues while in Windows Server and can access to all the functionalities.

Any ideas???

See the screenshot for details.

Mounting bracket for LGA 3647 (Knights Landing)? Can't install a fat 7250

Hi all, trying to install a Xeon Phi 7250 in my workstation with this motherboard (Supermicro | Products | Motherboards | Xeon® Phi x200 Serverboard | K1SPE) but the processor is fat unlike the 7210 (which is flat with no bump). Although the cooler can still (just barely) latch on with the two diagonal screws, the system will not power on after seating the 7250 processor.

The question is where I can buy the mounting brackets needed to seat the processor and cooling block a little higher? (Also, it's strange the system will not even power on or reach BIOS POST).

S3420 RDIMM compatibility? confused!

Hello all,

I have an S3420GP motherboard coming to me with a Xeon 3400-series processor.  I admit, I'm having trouble sourcing the RIGHT RAM.

An eBay dealer told me that Samsung M393B5170EH1-CH9Q4 (DDR3 1333Mhz 4GB per stick) would work... but I see that this ram is rated as 2Rx4.

Looking at the clip below from the technical manual, am I reading this correctly? Is the board incompatible with anything that has x4 in the specs? Do I need to look for 2Rx8 modules?

Thanks for your assistance!

S1400FP4 ac on power supply = solid amber Status LED + blinking blue ID LED - can't find anything about this combination

Dear community,

finally I got some time to setup my 2 years old  S1400FP4 mainboard into a server.

After finishing cpu, cooler, fans, some ram and the power supply I started a first boot for testing but "nothing" happened.

There was no boot screen on the monitor only the fans were running. So I disconnected every unnecessary fan cables, usb connector, power led and tried again.

Nothing. So I took out all 6 memory modules and put in another vendor module from my workstation. Again nothing.

I can see and hear that the be quiet power supply is working (has 2 fans and the fans of the cpu cooler are also running.

After thinking about a reason some blinking led got my attention. So I checked the manual for some hints about it.

But this combination is not mentioned.

It is still irrelevant if I power up the server (with or without ram) or if I just switch on only the power supply. There is always the same behavior:

Connecting the power supply to the AC and switch it on:

Solid amber Status LED and the solid green 5VSB LED for max. 1/2 sec. .

Then a very very very fast blinking blue ID LED, all solid amber RAM LEDs and some other solid amber Status LEDs on the mainboard for ~1 sec. .

After that the solid amber Status LED again with a fast blinking blue ID LED (and the solid green 5VSB LED).

After ~7 sec. the blue ID LED goes off for ~2 sec. and then the very very very fast blinking blue for ~1/2 sec. again and then the fast blinking like before.

Then nothing changes anymore - solid amber Status LED + fast blinking blue ID LED.

If I press the power button of the chassis now only the fans of the power supply and the cpu cooler are starting. There is no effect on the LEDs.

Would be nice if someone can give me a hint or a little push in the right direction.

PS: I didn't change the power supply against the one in my workstation right now...

I'm assembling a new server.  New S1200SPL board.  I have 4 2TB Western Digital drives.  In any RAID configuration with RST, Windows 2016 Essentials does not see the RAID partitions at all.  I tried all variations and tried all drivers I can find online.  How can I get Windows to see the Disks so I can install the OS?

Thanks.

RS2SG244 "latest" firmware, v12.14.0-0185 or 12.13.0-0105 ?

RS2SG244 with 22 SATA drives connected. Updated to "latest" firmware, v12.14.0-0185 now half the drives don't appear. Then I noticed that there is a "High port count" firmware which is only at version 12.13.0-0105 Both are listed as compatible with RS2SG244. Should I have installed 12.13.0-0105 instead, and if so is there anything I can do about it now?

How do I update the BIOS on a very old S2600CP motherboard?

Hi,

I've just been given an ancient, refurbished S2600CP2J motherboard complete with CPUs and RAM and would like to get it fully working again.

The obvious first step is to update the BIOS but the oldest EFI update package available (01.02.003) states that I need to have at least version 01.01.1002 before starting or "the update process may render the system not operatable!"

According to the BIOS screen, my system is currently SE5C600.86B.99.99.x034, build date 08/23/2011.

As I have no wish to kill the system before I get started, is there any way of upgrading it to 01.01.1002 as a minimum?

Thanks.

Intel server board S1200SPL RSTe software causes BSOD in Windows server 2012 R2

Hi geeks,

I got Windows server 2012 R2 installed in Intel server board S1200SPL successfully, and all drivers are up to date. the latest drivers are from link Downloads for Intel® Server Board S1200SPL . but when I open Rapid Storage Technology Enterprice software, BSOD occurs with error : DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL(iaStorA.sys).  people recommended to downgrade the driver, which I have tried, but it still does not work.

In BIOS settings I chose RAID -> RSTe not AHCI, cuz I need to set RAID5 for storage partition.

Thanks in advance.

Terrence
